While some people are content with all the knowledge they have acquired, others have an insatiable thirst for knowledge. They want to study more and sharpen their skills so that they will be productive in the workplace. The Kingdom of God is no different. Many have a yearning to study the Word of God and equip themselves with evangelism skills so that they will be productive and win more souls for the Kingdom.
Near the famous and ancient Mandpeshwar Caves in Mumbai lies the Shivajinagar Church. Its close proximity to Dahisar Railway Station makes it a very accessible church and members from different churches across Mumbai often visit it.
A Divine Appointment
This Sunday was special, there was an excitement in church. In addition to the Divine Service that every member had come prepared for, they were also going to witness the Holy Sealing of 12 members from different congregations across Mumbai. After a jubilant time of praise and worship, Apostle Pravin Gajbhiv delivered the sermon. He dwelt on Luke 7:47-48, “Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” He explained that our core thoughts should be about following and doing the will of our Heavenly Father. God forgives our original sin through the act of Holy Baptism, and in every Divine Service, God is ready to forgive all our sins. We need to love our neighbors and fulfill the wish of God.
After Apostle Pravin completed the message he prepared for the Special Act of Blessing, the Holy Sealing. He gave a detailed explanation about the Holy Sealing to everyone present.
Once the ceremony was over, everyone enjoyed fellowship and some tasty snacks. Each member returned home with this message etched strongly in their heart – follow Jesus and love as He loved, to the extent that he gave His life for us.
