A farewell Divine Service was conducted by Apostle Pravin Gajbhiv on 6 December 2015 in Kolhapur. More than 400 brothers and sisters gathered to be a part of this event.
The bible text was taken form Acts 4: 31, “And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” The sermon brought out the idea of not only being spectators in God’s work but reminded the congregation to be active partakers in the work of the Lord. The Apostle also differentiated between childlike faith and childish faith and added that as a congregation we should stand in oneness with our bearers of blessing.
A Faithful Servant: Apostle Gorde
The Divine Service was followed by a farewell program for Apostle Nilratna Arvind Gorde who had been retired two weeks earlier in Cambodia.
After his ordination as Priest on 3 February 1980, he had served for five years before being ordained as an Apostle of Jesus Christ on 9 June 1985. He had continued to serve in this ministry for 30 years, and proofed to be a faithful servant of God and a source of strength to many members.
The farewell program began with a short prayer and included a video presentation about the Apostle to commemorate the many years of his service. The members of the congregation had the opportunity to shake hands with him, thank him for his service and bid him farewell.
