After his ordination as an Apostle, Devadas Basappa was assigned with the state of Andhra Pradesh as his working area. Andhra Pradesh currently has six District Rector Areas (DRA). Following is his report of his first visit as an Apostle to West Godavari and Vijayawada, during which he was accompanied by Bishop Vijay Kumar.

God’s Answer to our many Prayers

For a long time we had been praying for the areas of Rajahmundry, Nuzivedu, West Godavari and Vijayawada, and our hopes were completely lost. Finally, our great almighty God answered our prayers when many ministers and congregations approached us, waiting for the visit of an Apostle of Jesus Christ.

Abundant Blessings in Veldhipadu

The result of our visit was truly magnificent: I was able to meet the brothers at the congregation in Gudivada and conduct a Divine Service in Veldhipadu. The blessing was abundant, as 13 souls received the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Sealing. Furthermore, four brothers were willing to receive a ministry and serve the Lord, so one Priest and three Deacons were ordained for the District of Vijayawada.

We thank the Lord for this recent development, and request your prayers especially for the area of Northern Andhra Pradesh, so that the work of the Apostolate can once again flourish there.
