When all Apostles of India met in December 2017, Apostle Pravin Gajbhiv was entrusted with a new working area that spans across the North of India. He now looks after the congregations in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. At the same time, he is being introduced to the working areas of Apostle Nanda (Jharkhand and West Bengal) and Apostle Patel in Rajasthan.
Maiden Visit to Madhya Pradesh
For his first trip to Indor, Apostle Pravin had a busy yet exciting schedule planned: youth meetings, interviews, a Divine Service, and one-on-one time were on his agenda. His main objective was to visit and get to know the members of the congregations in this area.
Around 70 members from the Ghelgaon, Sarlai, Karai, Paldia, Badwah congregations gathered at the entrance of the church as they waited to welcome Apostle Pravin. Because of their remote location, they never got many visitors. But in spite of that, they were faithful to the Lord and closely following the teachings of the New Apostolic Church. As soon as Apostle Pravin entered the church he was greeted with drums and garlanded with fresh flowers from Barwaha.
Touching a Cord in Every Heart
No matter how busy Apostle Pravin was – in youth meetings or in organising seminars – he set aside time to connect with every member personally to find out more about their personal and spiritual life. People felt so blessed: Apostle Pravin’s encouragement was like nourishment to their hungry souls.
Spreading the NAC Mission
Apostle Pravin reminded the people to prepare themselves for the imminent return of the Lord Jesus. He shared in detail about the vision, mission and ministry of the New Apostolic Church, the importance of understanding the Word of God and the meaning of Holy Sealing.
Giving God the Best
On Sunday, 18 March, the Divine Service message was based on Mark 14, 3-4, “And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head. But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and said, “Why was this fragrant oil wasted?”
Apostle Pravin explained that we needed to always give our best to God without worrying about the future. It is only in Christ that we are all perfect. He continued that as New Apostolic Christians, we needed to do our best in our walk of faith: If God told us to do something, we needed to work hard and do our best. Then, what we were unable to do, God would do for us.
The congregation rejoiced as 12 believers received the sacrament of Holy Sealing. Apostle Pravin spent time with the youth and was delighted at their participation.
The Apostle’s visit cheered and revived the congregations from Indore. They were thankful for the spiritual guidance they received and for every lesson from the Gospel that helped build their faith in Jesus Christ.
