Every message based on God’s word is inspirational. Some challenge, some convict, others encourage and fill people with hope. The sermon at the Divine Service in Hejanpur was one such message. The people soaked up the word and left feeling empowered and eager to do great things for God.
The souls in Solapur were ecstatic: Apostle Pravin Gajbhiv had announced his visit and was set to conduct a Divine Service and a Brothers Meeting. Evangelist Solomon who accompanied him also received a warm welcome from the congregation.
Where will your Seed fall?
Apostle Pravin based his sermon on Luke 8:14 “Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.” He encouraged everyone present to take a close look at the kind of seeds they were spreading. Were their seeds falling on thorns? He cautioned them not to pursue worldly pleasures as that would cause their inner soul not to grow. The congregation was asked to examine their own lives to see what kind of fruit they were producing – if they were not bearing good fruit, then Jesus would not accept them. To bear good fruit, they had to give first preference to God.
The Apostle reminded the members of Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”. Once again, everyone was called to give God first priority as He would never forget His faithful people and would give them strength to overcome worldly things.
A Spirit Filled Brother’s Meet
Apostle Pravin also conducted a Brothers’ Meeting, for which he shared a verse from 2 Peter 1:20 “Knowing this first that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.” He emphasized the importance of making the Holy Spirit an active part of their lives. Every member should focus on Jesus Christ and not make their own interpretations of the Scripture. The brothers were also reminded not to act like dictators in their congregations but rather to listen to the members.
Apostle Pravin Gajbhiv ended the meeting by urging the brothers not to use the Holy Spirit purely for their own gain. He left them with key guidelines they could follow as well as areas they should watch out for.
The Divine Service and Brother’s Meeting touched everyone in the Hejanpur congregation and they were excited with all the new truths they had learned.
