Vasant Kunj is a place near the airport which is known for its farm houses and bungalows. One of our priests from Cape Town, South Africa, resides there with his wife, and they invited the Delhi youth to their place for a refreshing afternoon. Despite the distance from our Lajpat Nagar Church, around 35 members followed the invitation with enthusiasm and excitement.
Praise, Worship and Practice for November
A fellowship breakfast was followed by spiritual part which even moved the security guard who works at Kallie and Roseline’s place. The bible text was taken from Colossians 2:6-7 which says “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” During a praise and worship session, the youth expressed their joys and talents by playing instruments, singing, dancing, etc.
The meeting was also used to discuss ideas and practice for an activity that the Delhi youth would present in Raipur on November 11 during the Cultural Evening with our Chief Apostle.
After a scrumptious lunch with a variety of foods, the youth indulged in fun activities like swimming and playing water games – and of course, taking a lot of pictures.
Priest Kallie and Sister Roseline thanked God for this event: “Our youth is the future of the Church and we are pleased that our home could be the host for this gathering.” The couple’s love and hospitality showed the youth that all New Apostolic Christians are one big world-wide family. They had come together from different parts of the city, fellowshipped and enjoyed, and got focused on the approaching visit of our Chief Apostle. With about 70 days to go, everybody got tuned in to the excitement about the Cultural Evening on 11 November, and the Divine Service with our Chief Apostle on 12 November.
